I got a new camera for my birthday.
There's a whole story behind it, and here's how it goes.
I was planning to order the camera with a travel bag and a LensPen (a utensil used for cleaning the lens) in store at BestBuy. It was a few days before Christmas, and I had received a flyer with the Boxing Day sales. There was a surprisingly low price. My dad had found out about this, and told me to get it on Christmas Eve in store. He told me to buy it on his credit card. You see, he was on the other side of the world, giving me specific instructions through Skype calls. So, he told me to go to BestBuy as soon as it opened and buy the whole kit, bag, LensPen and all. And that's exactly what I did.
On Christmas Eve, I woke up earlier than usual, eager to be the first to purchase the Nikon D3200. As soon as the doors opened, I rushed to the DSLR camera section to look for what I needed. After a few minutes of frantic searching (I really wanted this camera), I found a few stacked upon one another. I read the box carefully, making sure this was the right one. I was so excited, I just grabbed one and told my mom to buy it with my dad's credit card. But then I looked at the price. $599.00. This was too much, the flyer had said $399.00! I was confused. Then it dawned on me, this deal was way too good to be true. I used my mom's phone to check the flyer again, to make sure we hadn't missed anything important. And right there it said in what seemed to now be humongous letters "Online Flyer Sale". I felt like face-palming until my head fell off. I put the camera back, feeling disappointed. We walked out of the store, super embarrassed.
I ordered the camera later that day (online) and was told that I had to wait four days. Now, four days is not a lot of time, but when you were expecting your camera that exact day, it feels long.
After it FINALLY arrived in the mail (I was practically crying) I opened it up and took so many photos. Now that I think about it, it was definitely worth the wait of four days!
